“Trump Investigations” – Google News
Day: January 13, 2021
The night of the January 6th domestic terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol building, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham swore he was done with Donald Trump. But Graham is a psychologically unstable flip flopper, so naturally he’s back in Trump’s corner already.
After Trump was impeached in the House today in bipartisan fashion, Lindsey Graham went on the Sean Hannity show tonight to rail against impeachment. Graham even went so far as to blame impeachment for the ongoing domestic terrorist threat, saying “If you want to end the violence, end impeachment.”
This is just disgusting. Lindsey Graham is demanding that we let Donald Trump off the hook for his heinous crimes, so that his terrorist supporters will back down. Sorry, Lindsey, but the United States does not negotiate with terrorists.

Donald Trump’s life is over as he knows it. His financial house of cards is about to be destroyed by the fact that three banks have dumped him this week and prosecutors are going to hit him with asset forfeitures. Trump was already on track to go to prison in New York State, and now he’s facing the prospect of federal charges for his incitement of the Capitol attack.
With Trump’s life in ruins and getting even worse by the hour, what will he do once he’s booted from office next week? Last week’s talk of Trump traveling to Scotland on his final day in office – which was scuttled when Scotland said he wouldn’t be allowed into the country – brought into focus the question of whether he’s going to attempt to flee.
Now the conservative Washington Times is quoting multiple experts who believe that Donald Trump is indeed a “flight risk” if he gets hit with criminal charges, citing the fact that Trump has the cash to do it and the international properties to hide out at.
After this past week we’re not sure Trump is going to have much cash left on hand to do anything with. But this is notable because before too much longer, Trump will be criminally indicted in New York State. He’ll try to convince the judge to let him out on bail, or at least give him house arrest at Mar-a-Lago. But if prosecutors can find enough experts to testify that Trump is a serious international flight risk, the judge could end up putting him in jail while awaiting trial. We’ll see.

Earlier today we all learned that Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill referred certain unnamed House Republicans to the authorities for investigation because they gave a reconnaissance tour of the Capitol building to the insurrectionists the day before the domestic terrorist attack.
Then this afternoon Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney appeared on MSNBC and implied that the House Republicans who gave the tour are the same House Republicans who have insisted on carrying a gun at the Capitol, which could narrow down the list. Then this evening Congressman Joaquin Castro appeared on MSNBC and called for expulsion and criminal charges for these unnamed House Republicans if it’s proven that they were indeed knowingly coordinating with the attackers in advance.
This all comes amid separate claims by January 6th Trump rally organizer Ali Alexander that he worked in advance with three House Republicans to put the event together. One of the three, Congressman Mo Brooks, then released a statement asserting that it was the Trump White House who asked him to get involved with the event to begin with.

Donald Trump was impeached today, but he may have even bigger problems than that right now. With banks and business partners cutting him off left and right over the past few days, Trump is facing the ugly prospect of quickly going bankrupt. Now he’s taking it out on Rudy Giuliani of all people.
Trump has decided to stop paying Giuliani’s legal fees, and to not reimburse him for his election overthrow tour, according to a new report this evening from the Washington Post. We think this is happening for two reasons. First, Rudy’s idiotic efforts did nothing to help Trump’s chances of magically remaining in office. Second, with the way this week is playing out, Trump may not have any way of paying Rudy anyway.
We suspect we’ll see more rapid cost cutting moves on Trump’s part as he attempts to fend off or slow down the bankruptcy that he’s now in danger of being swallowed by. He has massive debts that require minimum payments. He’s upside down on most or all of his assets. He doesn’t have any way of paying what he owes people. And now the few banks that were still willing to touch him are cutting him off, meaning he can’t borrow new money to service his existing debts. At this point he can’t even pay Rudy anymore.
